Eastern Africa Theatre Institute (EATI) is the regional theatre network based in Dar es salaam, Tanzania officially registered in 1999
with four member countries, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. EATI was established to promote professionalism in theatre, regional,

One of the most important activities of the Eastern Africa Theatre Institute is the biannual theatre festival which is normally held once after every two years. So far EATI has already conducted four festivals, in Ethiopia (2000), Uganda (2002), Kenya (2004) and Tanzania (2006).In November this year again it will be in Ethiopia, from 20th to 27th November 2008.
